Daniel Siad was never charged with any offence, in any country. He denied wrongdoing throughout, said he believed he was recruiting for legitimate modelling castings, and said Epstein had deceived him and exploited his trust. He was found dead at his home outside Paris on 20 July 2026, aged 69, while under French investigation. No cause of death has been determined, and this page draws no inference from that.
Most people in this archive are described as associates, guests or donors. He is described as the mechanism.
The modelling pipeline is the single most effective recruitment route this site documents — it supplied identification, visas, housing and a legitimate reason for a grown man to be assessing teenagers. Siad is the field layer of it: the person who actually went to the cities and looked.
And the correspondence is the reason this page is not a character study. Ages appear in the emails as a routine field. Candidates as young as fifteen are referenced. In one exchange he relays an Epstein judgement that sixteen-year-olds were “too old.”
His account was consistent and should be recorded properly. He said he had never committed a crime, that he was willing to speak to investigators anywhere, and that his dealings with Epstein were strictly professional — that Epstein presented as a legitimate operator connected to Victoria’s Secret and MC2, and had deceived him. He was never charged, so that account was never tested against the documents in any court.
It will not be now.
In February 2026 a former Swedish model, Ebba Karlsson, filed a complaint with the Paris prosecutor alleging he raped her in a Cannes villa in 1990. In March, Polish prosecutors opened a trafficking investigation and sought assistance from France and Sweden. French prosecutors were investigating him on two tracks. On 20 July 2026 he was found dead at home in Colombes. He was sixty-nine.
“A scout or recruiter of girls and/or women for J. Epstein.”
Not an inference by a journalist. Not an allegation by a survivor. It is how a court exhibit describes him — attributed to Jean-Luc Brunel, who ran the modelling operation.
Brunel died in prison in 2022 before he could be tried.
Siad died in July 2026 before he could be charged.
Section 01
The Record
Born in Algeria; moved to Sweden at the age of 23 and lived there for decades. Swedish-Algerian, and virtually unknown to the public until February 2026.
Emails reviewed by AFP, RTL Nieuws, Reuters and Inkyfada show him forwarding photographs, profiles and videos of young women to Epstein across more than a dozen countries — Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Latvia, South Africa, France, Spain, Barcelona, Morocco, Cuba and Tunisia. He worked under the agency What’s Up Management.
Ages were routinely noted in the correspondence. Emails reference candidates as young as 15. In one exchange, Siad relayed an Epstein judgement that sixteen-year-old models were “too old.”
Scouting South Africa, he writes (EFTA01196801): “the potential of girls is huge and great people.” “Potential” is a market-sizing word, applied to a city’s population. He planned a month-long return in May.
It was Jean-Luc Brunel who identified him to investigators as “a scout or recruiter of girls and/or women for J. Epstein.” That phrase — quoted throughout this archive — originates with the man who ran the modelling pipeline and who died in a French prison in 2022 awaiting trial.
His name appears in hundreds of documents in the DOJ release. He tells Expressen he “had never committed a crime” and was open to speaking with investigators in any country. He tells BFMTV his dealings with Epstein were strictly professional — that he believed he was recruiting for legitimate castings, and that Epstein, who worked with Victoria’s Secret and MC2, had deceived him and exploited his trust.
Former Swedish model Ebba Karlsson alleges he raped her in a Cannes villa in 1990, and files a complaint with the Paris prosecutor alleging rape and trafficking. He disputed the allegation. It was never tested.
Polish prosecutors open a criminal trafficking investigation and seek assistance from France and Sweden — Sweden because Siad lived there. Reuters approaches him on two numbers and an email address found in the files. He does not respond.
French prosecutors investigate him for trafficking connected to Epstein, and separately over allegations of sexual offences. He is never charged with anything, in any jurisdiction.
He is found dead at his home in Colombes, north-west of Paris. He was 69. An official cause of death has not been determined. This archive records that and draws no inference from it.
Section 02
Three Operators, No Trials
The modelling pipeline has three named principals in this archive. All three are dead, and not one was ever tried.
Died in a Manhattan jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. Never tried.
Found dead at home outside Paris while under French investigation. Never charged.
Three deaths across seven years is a fact, and stating it is not the same as suggesting a cause. Epstein’s death was ruled suicide. Brunel’s was ruled suicide. Siad’s cause has not been determined, and he was sixty-nine.
What it does mean is evidentiary. The three people who could have explained how the recruitment pipeline actually worked — who selected, on what instruction, and who else was supplied — are all beyond questioning.
Add the four women immunised in 2007 and the picture is complete: the operational layer of this case has never given evidence in any proceeding, anywhere.
